Traditional Acupuncture

Traditional Acupuncture is a time and tested system of healthcare that has been practiced in the far east for thousands of years.  It is now recognised as the “go to” natural therapy of the modern world.

In acupuncture, pain and illness are seen as signs that the body is out of balance.  The overall aim of acupuncture is to restore the body’s equilibrium.  This is archived by the placing of fine needles into the specific points on the body.

Acupuncture provides a effective solution for many conditions

Trial after trial consistently proves its effectivness and the evidence base is continually growing.  It is well known for treating back, shoulder, neck and knee pain. Research has also shown acupuncture to be a effective treatment of :-

  •  Headaches and Migraine
  • Digestive issues
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Mental health Issues

Tuina

Tuina is a form of massage based on Chinese medicine theories. This has developed over thousands of years to become a very effective non-invasive treatment.

It is regarded as one of the main branches of chinese medicine alongside acupuncture, herbs and qigong.  It is  highly effective at releasing tight and sore muscles.

Tuina is available on its own or in combination with acupuncture or cupping.

Cupping

Cupping is a traditional treatment which is commonly used in conjunction with acupuncture and massage.  Massage compresses the tissue and fascia while cupping decompresses.  This releases tension and myofascial adhesion, encourages blood flow and lymphatic drainage of the tissue.

Cupping has been famously used by multiple gold medalist Micheal Phelps as pasrt of his recovery outine.
